FFP2 and N95 masks are two similar types of personal protective equipment (PPE) that reference different regulatory standards for performance requirements.
N95 masks, certified under the U.S. standard NIOSH, filter at least 95% of airborne particles, focusing on non-oil-based particles.
FFP2 masks, certified under the European standard EN 149, filter at least 94% of particles, including oil-based particles, making them versatile for various industrial settings.
Look at the mask label to confirm mask size.
Open the mask and place over face to check for the right fit.
Pull the lower strap to fit it over head and below ears.
Stretch the upper strap to fit it over head and above ears.
Press nose clip against nose bridge with both hands to ensure tight fit around face.
If air leaks from edges, re-adjust mask and straps to correct fit.
